Who we are
HorseGPT is a novelty AI chat app for iOS ("the App"). This policy explains what information the App handles and why. If anything is unclear, email us at verscup@gmail.com.
Chat messages
When you send a message in the App, it is transmitted to our server (a Cloudflare Worker) and forwarded to an AI provider (OpenRouter) so an AI model can generate a reply. That is the only reason your messages leave your device.
Your messages are not used to identify you and we do not build profiles from them. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in your chats — the horse doesn't need to know.
Chat history stays on your device
Your conversation history is stored only locally on your device. We do not keep a copy of your chat history on our servers. If you delete the App, your chat history is deleted with it.
Anonymous identifier
The App uses a randomly generated anonymous user ID (also used as your RevenueCat app user ID). It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any other real-world identity. We use it for exactly two things:
- Subscription verification — confirming your Pro subscription is active, via RevenueCat.
- Rate limiting — enforcing fair message limits on our server.
Subscriptions and payments
All purchases and payments are handled by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see or store your payment details. We use RevenueCat to verify subscription status using the anonymous ID described above. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
What we don't do
- No user accounts — you never give us your name or email.
- No advertising, and no third-party ad trackers.
- No selling, renting, or trading of your data. Ever.
Service providers
The App relies on a small set of service providers to function: Cloudflare (our chat server), OpenRouter (AI model provider that generates replies), RevenueCat (subscription verification), and Apple (payments and App Store distribution). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — children included.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and its effective date. Meaningful changes will be noted in the App or on this site.
